TAKING THINGS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Sometime early on in life I figured out that the more you give to life, the better the return on investment. I don’t mean in monetary return, I mean in standards of quality, excellence, self-worth, value. Opulence and grandeur have never been standards for me but of course I like being able to do things well, to travel, have nice things and make a decent living. But the most valuable lessons I’ve learned are related to personal growth. I challenge myself everyday. It keeps me from being bored. Learn that thing I’ve been wanting to learn. Stand up straighter. Make healthier choices. Cultivate and nourish friendships and relationships. Appreciate my uniqueness. And I admire these qualities in others. It explains my art. I went from straight photography to photoshop so I could recreate what I saw, not just what the camera captured. And from that to iphone and ipad digital art, using apps to push my vision forward. I’ll never stop. Here’s an example. Took my original “paint and sip party” acrylic wave painting to exciting new heights in procreate for the ipad.
