MAKING SPACE FOR THE RIGHT THING

It’s important to make space if you want new things, good things, things you’ve been waiting for, to come into your life. We’ve all been waiting this year for the pandemic to end, some not even daring to imagine what good might happen might when the “end” came. Many "wait" for retirement to do things they love. Waiting for the right time is not the answer.

You don’t have to wait; you just have to make space. For me, during the year of the pandemic I dumped over half of my traditional art supplies, a bunch of art books, most of my canvases, all of my frames, and my desire to be able to paint and draw like other people do, the amazing artists, the ones I took workshops and classes from the last five years. That made space for me to study teaching online, to open up Zoom and Google classrooms, to find art schools to teach for, and to move my digital art forward.

I dropped writing poetry so I had more space for my prose writing and actually was able to publish my book after five years of working the stories in it.

No, no one has to wait for the right time to come. All one has to do is make space for the right things to come into their life.
